But…the girls are 16 Months Old!!
Michaela has really gained speed this month. She can now run and jump! While she is a bit harder to catch, being able to walk and get where she wants to go has transformed her into such an easy baby! When she is ready for bed, she struts over to the gate that leads to the stairs and whines a bit. She then scrambles up the stairs, and into the bathroom to brush her teeth and it's off to bed. Ok, kiddo- if you insist! She has been talking up a storm and even gave our sweet housekeeper a clear "Good Job!!" as she was finishing up.
While Reese has taken a few steps here and there, she still isn't "walking". The frustration of always being outpaced by her sister is really starting to get to her. The little lady has certainly developed her temper tantrum skills! She flops to the floor wailing and then proceeds with this dramatic flailing crawl- almost as if she is storming a beach. Poor little lady!! Sweet Grandpa even built her a set of parallel bars so she could practice. On the up side, she has also mastered some serious climbing skills! Nothing makes that little dare devil happier. We are going to have our hands full when she finally takes off walking. When she isn't fighting that frustration, she remains to be a little love bug that loves to giggle, make funny faces, and practice her gymnastics moves.
Little girls, you are growing up so very fast. Each month is better than the last. We are so blessed to be your parents. Love ya' monkey babies!
